On Friday, July 18th, 2025, TekniTeed Nigeria Limited proudly held its maiden edition of TekniTeed Cultural Day—a vibrant celebration of Nigeria’s rich cultural diversity. The event brought together members of staff from all across the country, each donning traditional attire that represented their unique heritage. From the northern regions to the southern creeks, every part of Nigeria was vividly showcased through colors, fabrics, and traditions.
The event kicked off with a heartwarming welcome address by the Executive Director (fondly called “ED”), who stood in for the Group Managing Director/Chief Technical Officer. In her remarks, she welcomed members of staff to the maiden edition of TekniTeed Cultural Day, and emphasized the importance of cultural unity in diversity—values that TekniTeed continues to uphold within its workforce.
The highlight of the day was the Cultural Contest, which featured 13 energetic staff members as contestants. Each participant had the opportunity to:
- Showcase their traditional attire and explain its cultural significance
- Describe their native cuisines and other fascinating elements of their heritage
- Display their dancing prowess, lighting up the atmosphere with rhythm and colour
The event also featured a fun and educational Question & Answer session focused on Nigeria’s vast cultural landscape, which sparked laughter, learning, and friendly competition.
The grand finale was a spirited dance-off—a crowd favorite—which kept everyone entertained and cheering. Thanks to the objectivity and diligence of our panel of judges, winners emerged, and prizes will be presented on a future date.
To round off the day, staff were treated to light refreshments while celebrating a successful event.
The 2025 TekniTeed Cultural Day was more than just a celebration—it was a reaffirmation of our shared identity, unity, and respect for the traditions that define us. At TekniTeed, we believe that appreciating our roots strengthens the bond that holds us together as a team and as a family.
