Electrical/Electronics Service Engineer

Description

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Electrical/Electronics Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical and electronic systems such as VFDs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering quality technical services to our clients, ensuring optimal equipment performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and configure electrical and electronic equipment (e.g., drives, sensors, control panels).
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical/electronic systems on-site or in the workshop.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machines and automation systems.
  • Support in testing, calibration, and validation of electrical components and systems.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for effective troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and job logs.
  • Assist in the development of service plans and project execution.
  • Adhere to safety standards and ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Stay updated on latest industry technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • HND/B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years hands-on experience in industrial equipment servicing and field operations.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control circuits, automation, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, PLCs (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.), HMIs, and industrial sensors.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and electrical testing instruments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel for on-site support and emergency repairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HND/B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
  • OEM certifications (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider).

  • Experience in MRO or industrial spare parts/service environment.

  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to quality standards.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and basic report writing.
