Electrical/Electronics Service Technician

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical/Electronics Service Technician to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning a wide range of industrial electrical and electronic equipment. The role requires hands-on experience with industrial automation components, control systems, drives, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronics systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical circuits, control panels, and PLC systems.
  • Perform testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Handle service and repair of industrial drives (VFDs, Soft Starters), sensors, and control systems.
  • Assist in panel building, wiring, and system integration for industrial applications.
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical support to clients on-site and remotely.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, and feedback for completed jobs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Inventory teams to provide technical insights and support for projects.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND or Technical Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years relevant hands-on experience in industrial service, maintenance, or repair.
  • Good knowledge of electrical/electronic components, VFDs, sensors, PLCs, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication and customer service orientation.
  • Willingness to travel for site assignments or emergency repairs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ND/HND in Electrical/Electronics Engineering is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in MRO, OEM support, or technical service environments.
  • Familiarity with brands like ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Omron, SICK, etc
