Inventory and Logistics Officer

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory and Logistics Officer to manage inventory records, oversee stock movements, and coordinate logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy in inventory control, support procurement and dispatch activities, and contribute to efficient warehouse and supply chain management.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all stock locations.
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate and track dispatch of goods to customers or project sites.
  • Update inventory management systems (ERP) with real-time stock data.
  • Conduct regular stock-taking, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory.
  • Prepare inventory and logistics reports for management review.
  • Maintain documentation for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures within the warehouse.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of inventory and logistics processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or warehouse management tools is an advantage.
  • Experience in an industrial or technical distribution company is preferred.
