Human Resources (HR) Assistant

Description

We are looking for a diligent and proactive HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department in managing HR operations and ensuring effective implementation of HR policies. The ideal candidate will assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, documentation, and general HR administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, CV screening, and interview scheduling.
  • Support onboarding of new employees, including documentation and orientation.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR files (physical and digital).
  • Prepare HR reports, memos, and correspondence as required.
  • Track attendance, leave, and other employee data for payroll and record purposes.
  • Support training and development coordination and logistics.
  • Assist in handling employee queries and HR policy communications.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee data and sensitive HR matters.
  • Support the HR Manager in employee engagement and compliance activities.
  • Perform other administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling HR information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–2 years experience in an HR or administrative support role.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices is a plus.
  • Familiarity with HR software or ERP systems is an added advantage.
